The Still Beating Heart
There was a hallway of five doors. All of the doors were open, and revealed peaceful meadows, or a white city with golden roofs. All of them, except for one. The door at the end was tightly shut, and covered in a mass of chains, locked with a padlock. Darkness streamed out from the space under the door. Something pounded against the door - the chains rattling soundless. As the priest moved forward, and grasped at the chains, the door was pulled open, the chains falling to the side, dissipating into nothing. The padlock fell to the ground with a soft thud.
